Trash Pickup Bulk & Cleanup Recycling Hazardous Materials Water Department

The following list of mandatory recycling items will be picked up on your scheduled recycling day.  The recycling schedule is located under Trash Pickup

ÞCommingled: Glass, aluminum cans, tin cans and all plastic containers

The use of a 35-gallon trash container, weigh no more than 40lbs., is recommended for recycling of commingled. Free recycling stickers are available at the Public Works Office and should be placed on trash containers to designate them as a recycling container. Commingled recyclables should not be placed in bags for pickup or drop off.

 

Þ Paper Collection (NEW-ALL IN ONE BIN):

      Newspapers, Mixed Papers, Junk Mail, Cardboard, and Magazines.  MUST BE DRY.  Can be placed to curb in 
      one container untied. The use of a 35-gallon trash container with lid, weighing no more than 40lbs., is 
      recommended for recycling of papers. Free recycling stickers are available at the Public Works Office and 
      should be placed on container to designate them as a paper recycling container. Paper recyclables should not 
      be placed in bags for pickup or drop off.

 

ÞRecycle your Electronics

    The Borough will continue to accept old computers, monitors, VCR’s, printers, radios, laptops and telephone 
    equipment at the Recycling Center as long as the current disposal program continues. Check with the Public Works 
    Department for availability.

 

Placing household trash in public litter receptacles is a violation of Borough Code.  Your cooperation is necessary to keep our community clean and litter free.

 

 

 

 

RECYCLING CENTER

Located on the corner of Washington and Baltimore Avenue, is open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Residents can utilize the center to drop off their normal recyclable items.  The Recycling Center is a service provided for Residents only.  Proof of residency may be required by two forms Photo ID & Tax or Utility Bill.   Absolutely no contractors are permitted to dispose of any items at any time.

 

The following is a list of recyclable items accepted at the Recycling Center.

·          Electronics-computers, monitors, VCR’s, printers, radios, laptops and telephone equipment.

·          Commingled Glass, Aluminum Cans, Tin Cans and Plastic Containers

·          Newspapers

·          Mixed Paper

·          Corrugated Cardboard

·          Motor Oil, Anti-freeze, Auto Batteries and Household Batteries

·          Used Motor Oil Filters – Oil must be drained from the filter

·          Telephone Books

·          Concrete by appointment

·          Yard Waste You can bring Yard Clippings, Brush or Tree stumps to the Recycling Center.
